About the Band

Play Foo Fighters tunes for the Foo Fighters Fans, from the casual listener to the die hard, B-side lover Foo-head. That’s what moves Everlong Echoes, and that’s what we do every time we hit the stage: play with passion, joy, utmost respect for the Foos and try to get as close as we can to the real deal.

From seasoned musicians (and lifelong Foo Fans) to audiences across Ireland and beyond, Everlong Echoes was formed with the desire of playing the tunes we love to people who love them and want to have a good time. Playing Foo Fighters’ Greatest Hits but also adding quite a few songs you might not have heard in a long time – or ever, from the obscure shelves of the Foo Discography – we bring head-bangin’ rock to life. Inspired by the classic Foo formation, but also incorporating some of the things that makes the Foos’ unique (such as our singer playing drums and our drummer singing in a couple songs, jamming live inspired by the Foos’ live performances and so on).

We’re Everlong Echoes, Foo Fighters Tribute Band, and we’re very much looking forward to rockin’ out your nearest venue so you can get The Best, The Best, The Best… of us =)

Hugo Duerholt

Hugo Duerholt

Having discovered his love of music in his late teen years, Hugo remembers his “Eureka” moment to this day. “Sitting on the living room couch, circa 2002, flipping channels, when the riff for “All My Life” hit, and the music video came on. You know, MTV days, no Youtube, so purely random. That’s the first moment where I went, “OH. I wanna do that””. As years followed, Hugo initially picked up the Bass, and in another strike of Lady Luck, he found a Foo Fighters Tribute Band needing a bass player at the age of 16. Hugo’s first gigging-in-the-night-avoiding-bouncers-as-a-minor was a Foo Fighters Tribute, which he played in for the next ten years. To this day, the band still gets together and gigs when they’re all back in Sao Paulo, Brazil, his hometown and where his career started.

To this day, the band still gets together and gigs when they’re all back in Sao Paulo, Brazil, his hometown and where his career started.

What followed was a 20+ years career playing the bass, guitar, drums, keys, singing and writing music across Brazil and the globe, having played sold-out gigs with multiple lineups in cities such as Las Vegas, Nashville, San Francisco, Mexico City and beyond, from smaller crowds to arena gigs.

In 2019, Hugo relocated to Ireland, and since then, he’s been collecting gigs across the Emerald Island, in cities such as Dublin, Cork, Galway and, honestly, as many as he can get! However – the love for the Foo Fighters never waived, and in 2022, he and his dear friends finally put together Everlong Echoes – carrying the expertise of having played Foos songs throughout the majority of his lifetime, with a stellar cast of heavily seasoned musicians, who also love the band and have it as a pillar in their musical upbringing.

Now fronting the band as a singer/guitarist, Hugo pours his heart and soul into bringing audiences the closest experience they can get to the real thing – aka Mr. Dave Grohl himself. Singing, screaming, playing Dave Grohl’s beautiful blue ES-335 and also drumming in the gig – something he really enjoys and mirrors Dave’s drumming prowess for a song or two – this is his passion project and the crowds can surely feel it.
